Lots to see but terrible layout. Hidden drawers made for random chance points of learning rather than a well thought through experience. We were lucky to get there early but later queues were really long. Such a shame because there is lots to learn but...More

It seems we were lucky not to have to queue for long (a member of staff later told us that wheelchair users are allowed to skip queues at attractions in Berlin). It certainly wouldn't have been worth buying a "skip the line" ticket in any...More

Very interesting museum that very successfully demonstrates the life in Eastern Germany in the past. The museum is well designed for adults as well as for children. The only problem was it was too crowded.

Really enjoyed the museum very interesting, just really busy. Could do with limiting numbers. Toilets are on my mid way through the exhibition and once you have left you can’t get back in again!

We hear from a local person in Germany that the DDR museum is very good. We enjoyed it. The best part of it was the small car (Trabant 1.1) that has a video game screen while in the car driving. My son loved it and...More

My daughter and I booked our tickets on-line and arranged a time slot to visit. We arrived just before our allotted time but it wouldn't let us in. The museum was quite crowded as it is not very large. It was very interesting and had...More

This is a small museum, and extremely interactive - perfect for families with kids. There is enough interesting information about life in Berlin during this period to keep the adults entertained too. It really is a walk into the past. All in all it is...More

Very pleased with the service, printed tickets and several reminders, but despite this I didn’t realise they were booked for 10am until I turned up at 5pm!!! Used the tickets at the scanner and got in! Which was a relief as this place was very...More

They made an effort in trying to make the exhibition interesting and different, interactive. It was average, interesting insight to life in East Germany, but so expensive to get in.

This was one of the museums that I'd been told was a must-visit on a trip to Berlin. I normally love nothing more than a good museum, but this was a disappointment, and I didn't enjoy my time here at all. The staff were a...More

Definitely Saturday at 7 p.m. is the better option with less visitors. And yes we are happy that our museum is highly recommended and the average spend is more about 2 hours.
