Esplanadi Park is a long park in the center of Helsinki. It is within walking distance of Senate Square and has plenty of benches. There are several small food stands so you can sit and have a bite to eat and watch people.

Place to stroll, sit down, listen to a music festival or occasional street musicians this little park is a respite for a tired tourist or a local alike. Great photo opp it also offers food and ice cream, plus lots of nearby attractions and restaurants.
Every day in the Esplanadi Park something is happening. It may be someone blowing huge fun bubbles or musical artists or golden clad men who freeze as if they were statues. Across from Kappeli Restaurant there is entertainment nightly for free. What fun!
I do believe where the cruise ports you just keep walking west a couple of blocks and you will be in the middle of Esplanadi. Lots of shops, snacks and salons. Public market at the port, too. Local food and art/crafts. Enjoy!
