We found the area to have many shopfronts displaying fabrics, furnishings, clothing, workshops etc which were interesting to us as so different to what is offered in our own country. A few cafes selling delicious fresh food and good coffee. The local church is delightful...More

Lots of stuff going on! Street art, museum, churches, restaurant. It seem normal like that but they all seem to have something special. Of course, lots of boutique of all kind. Youll get your fix for finnish artcraft. You may even meet the designer!

Nice area to Walk around and enjoy design in a lot of different areas. Not to much traffic or crowded. Depending on how often you enter shops you could easily spend half a day here.

Didn’t particularly enjoy Helsinki overall but did enjoy the Design District - mostly the Iittala store.

We combine a brief walk in this neighborhood, with visit to Design Museum (A Must attraction). It is a nice combination of shops, mintage artifacts, coffee shops etc. One need to like this type of walking & watching, to enjoy this experience.

Really boring! No nice shops. Reminds me of Oslo 20 years ago... City needs to invest more in retail, design, etc
