I took the metro 4 until Nanmen and then walked. With 40 yuan entrance fee is it well worth it. I did not go up the pagode (extra charge), as so hot that day.

Easily reached by subway or local bus. Scenery is beautiful with lakes, pagoda, bridges and garden. I highly recommended you to visit as the place is well kept and very clean, you can spend about 1-2 hours taking lots of pictures.
We stayed at the Pan Pacific Suzhou hotel, and admission to this scenic area is included in the hotel stay if you present your room card at the back entrance.
