Its state park with free entry and lots of trails but the most excited point is the high fall You csn just go to the lookout parking if you are not walking

they recently found dangerous Algae in many areas of the lake, and so many of its beaches were shut down and residents and visitors were advised against swimming or consuming fish caught there. Very sad, because we travelled far to get there. lake and scenery...More

We stopped at Taughhannock Falls for a few photo ops and it was beautiful. Pretty amazing views of the falls.

What a Delight! The Lake, the pubs. The wineries, the beer Gardens. Quaint towns, nice people. First time here and we loved it!

Spent a lot of time on the lake boating. Easy access to the boat ramp. Plenty of parking. Very inexpensive to buy boat launch pass. Overnight parking fee is very cheap.

This photo has not been filtered!!! Yes, this is NY State not the Carribean. I did not swim, but highly recommend finding an area to swim. It is truly stunning. This was taken around 5pm.

The state parks are the best option for family friendly activities. I'd recommend going to either buttermilk falls or Robert Tremen State Park for waterfall watering holes. Toughannok has a flat creek bed that you and your... More

Pets on a leash are allowed in state parks. Curb your pets poops and you'll be fine.
