This place is great! But, as a fair warning, if it’s in the Fall or Spring when Pierson Forge is generally more crowded, this place is overrun! There’s plenty of entertainment and food choices. The shops are great (my personal favorite is the 5 and...More

The island is nothing like Dollywood. Dollywood is a full blown amusement park with lots of rides, roller coasters, shows, and shops. The island has a Ferris wheel and some kiddy rides, and a ropes course. The island is more of a shopping area with a couple of rides. Dollywood is going to be more expensive, but we spent an entire day there from 10am until 9:30 pm. You could probably spend a couple hours at the island.

I wouldn't take a dog there. If you intend to just walk around then it would probably be fine. It's very crowded and it's so hot I would be concerned for their paws. They are not allowed into the establishments.
