Stopped here on our drive along the south coast. Free and ample parking. Not as crowded as some other locales, plentiful restrooms, and a restaurant in case you're hungry. We did not venture up the stairs as we were on a tight schedule that day,...More

We saw many gorgeous waterfalls and site on our 3 day tour with Season Tours, small company and small groups ...only 4 of us in our group and I highly recommend them. This was one of my favorite waterfalls.

This is an impressive waterfall, not quite to that of Seljalandsfoss, so with a bit fewer tourists, so that makes it a great stop. Easy access. You can walk right into the water -- but stay back a bit, and if you are going close,...More

Skogafoss has a large free parking area and two areas to view the falls. We chose to stay on the lower viewing area and walked along the gravel shoreline to the falls. There is an upper viewing area if you want to go up/down 400...More

Amazing view up close and from the top. Make sure to bring a rain coat if you want to take pictures or get close to the water. The hike to the top can be a bit tiring but definitely worth it.

Easy to get to right off of route 1, you can immediately see the falls. A set of steep stairs (they do scare some people so be aware) gets you up to a viewing platform with great views. Underrated is the hike you can take,...More

Wonderful waterfall, hiding the best hiking trail I’ve ever walked through. This site is literally stormed by tourists, especially due to how close one can get to the waterfall and to the consequent photographs one can take, but once started the trekking, the presence of...More

Skogafoss is an amazing waterfall located along the Ring Road and is a must stop location along the route. The waterfall has great volume, is tall, strong, powerful, and extremely impressive! You can walk to the bottom and also climb the stairs to the top...More

One of the largest waterfall drops we saw while in Iceland. The spray is impressive as well. It is possible to get as close as you dare to the falls. There is also a stairway to a platform at the top.

I booked ahead of time with Sixt. The car was good... but they did use a lot of upsell tactics. "Sandstorm damage" ... they said was highly recommended if traveling to the south. We encountered nothing but pleasant... More

If it’s just at ground level 30 mins should be adequate. If you want to reach the upper levels allocate 1& 1/2 hours to 2 hours dependent on your exploring needs.

As above, I don't think you will have any issues visiting unless there is some really unfortunate weather.
