Very nice moderate hike along the water to Francis Point light. Parking close proximity to Madeira Park village. The hike is to a navigational light, not a lighthouse. We packed a lunch and enjoyed the view across Georgia strait to Texada island.

After a short walk we enter the beach and join the cold water. The views are awesome and great. The time is running if you enjoy the Beach and the sun. Thanks for this nature gem.

Agree with another who mentions that getting there is tricky due to poor road signage — perhaps that helps with the nonbusy-ness of this beautiful destination. Signs at the parking lot. Definitely challenging for mobility-challenged and not stroller-friendly. The shorter path to the right involves...More

Not easy to find as there are very few signs but worth the effort when you get there. A bit of a rugged walk in parts along the cliffs and bays so not any good for anyone with mobility problems.

Car parking is close by and well defined path takes you to a fork....to the left a longer walk to the right a climb to a view point. The start point is around a really pretty bay to which you can, quite easily, scramble down...More

A nice car park with signs leads to a lovely walk along the coast to Francis Point which has great views. Relatively easy walk about an hour round trip.

This is a unique park due to the cliffside trail that winds along a bluff looking out over Malaspina Strait. It is quite breathtaking but somewhat technical footing so proceed with caution.

Beautiful secluded natural marine park. Easy coastal walk through tall trees, wonderful coastal views, rocky beachs and platforms, and a stunning grove of arbutus trees on the point. Dog friendly..must be on lead.

Loved this walk!!! So beautiful! The coast I this area is spectacular, so much rock, moss, even saw a couple of seal swimming below us! The lookout spot to the left is amazing! Worth the climb to just take a few min to take it...More
