Had medical appt. in Victoria, but chose to stay in Sidney for a change of scenery. Chose the Sidney Pier Hotel, because of Accessible King room available and the extra $15.00 a day credit for restaurant. Can not combine the credits though. Must be used one at a time, day to day. The room was nice and clean, and the bathroom was very functional. I missed having a bath, but the walk in shower, complete with a seat and bars, was just what was needed for my husband. The accessible rooms also have the courtyard view. Our room was the second floor, so we also had a little balcony. View was obstructed a bit by the roof of part of the hotel below. Raining most of the time anyway, so the views were not the best that weekend. Parking is reasonable and didn't cost as much as hotels in Victoria. Be aware though, that handicapped spots are close to the entrance to underground parking. There are no handicapped spots over by the elevator. Read the signs carefully! Some spots are for the aquarium during certain hours. Others are for residents living there. Books available to read in a bookshelf by the elevator. Toiletries are great, and if you really like them you can go buy the same ones across the street on Beacon Ave at Flush store. Wonderful coffee, and "real" coffee, not a pouch or puck. Careful opening the package! The walkway out front is wonderful, and there are lots of sculptures to watch for.…
My husband and I decided to spend a couple of days at this hotel, and we just loved our stay. We chose the Signature Pier Suite and the view from the room overlooking the water and distant islands was beautiful. The suite was a dream! The comfortable bed, sitting by the fireplace looking out, spending time on the balcony watching people look for shells, or having a quick little snack, was absolutely delightful. The suite is large, well organized and furnished beautifully. It was so much fun to walk to small shops and restaurants. I had a fun birthday. It actually can accommodate another couple, so the next time we come, we'll bring friends.
We had a very lovely time in this hotel. We travel with a small dog. They were very accomodating. Large grass fields behind the hotel for dog walks. Close to many shoppes, second hand books stores everywhere.... Absolutely wonderful.
I was in town for business and stayed here for two nights. They were very accommodating and I checked in very early to the room, which was great. It was a beautiful room, very large with a small kitchenette and separate deep soaking tub and shower in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and linens and great location overlooking the ocean. The small coffee shop on the main floor had fantastic baked goods and coffee for the in mornings, and I ate at the restaurant one night as well and the food was delicious!
Stayed here for a work conference. The hotel is located near the water with a view of several islands in the distance. Many of the rooms have at least a partial view. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The HVAC is very quiet and the bathrooms very nice. This hotel is located steps away from the pier, several small shops, five or six restaurants, and a grocery store. It was a 10 minute taxi ride from Victoria International. Looks like alot of tourist attractions available as well though I have no time to play.
