Hotel Schwaiger is a 4-star boutique hotel that offers comfortable accommodation for the convenience of those visiting Prague; be it for business or for pleasure. The rooms and their interiors are decorated with a taste of the 1920's (First Czechoslovak Republic) and are designed to satisfy even the most exacting of guests. However, the real treasure of our hotel is a charming garden. Hotel Schwaiger is proud to have re-opened its doors after complete reconstruction in 2017.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel was updated and immaculate and the location was just what we were looking for. It was in a quiet area near a beautiful park and was an easy 2 stop metro ride to all the beautiful sights of Prague. We would definitely stay here again.

One of the best experiences of our trip. A quiet hotel with a friendly and kind staff, very clean rooms, excellent breakfast ... You would not want to miss out this hotel if you’re in Prague. Very close to the old city and all the attractions, very close to the park and in walking distance to few very good restaurants. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and we will get back there for sure.

We had two rooms here for three nights, the hotel is absolutely Wonderful! Located in Prague 6 so it is nice and quiet and just a $4 or less Uber ride from anywhere you could want to go. The beds were amazing and so comfortable we wanted to get the info to replace our own at home! The onsite restaurant is nice and the Included breakfast is The Best we had our entire vacation. More than all of these great attributes though, the staff is So great and friendly!!! Josef went above and beyond and was super helpful. We truly loved our stay here and while we were thinking we might skip Prague on our next trip to Europe, I really think we will schedule a few days just so we can stay here again and we'll just take the train to our other destinations. THANK YOU for such a great stay!

Hotel Schwaiger is a lovely small hotel in Prague 6. Everything about this hotel is top rate – if it the location is suitable for your needs. The rooms are well furnished, clean, quiet and comfortable. The personnel who work at the hotel are friendly and helpful, happy to respond to any need. The breakfast buffet (included in the price) was of high quality, and included fresh fruit and yoghurt, typical breakfast meats and vegetables, eggs, sausages and bacon, and (of course) a self serve coffee and expresso. Two important things to note. First, air conditioning. We were in Prague when temperatures were quite hot. Several days, the temperatures reached the mid 90s (35 - 37 centigrade). The room air conditioning worked perfectly to keep the rooms comfortable even in these extreme conditions. Second, the location. Prague 6 is a lovely neighborhood, full of embassies, good restaurants and nice residential buildings. In many ways, it reminds me of the 16thA in Paris. The hotel is a few meters from the entrance to the largest park in Prague. However, the prime tourist attractions are not close by. If you are staying in Prague and wish to roll out of bed and be in the center of prime tourist attractions, this hotel is not right for you. If you are willing to step away from the prime tourist areas (or you wish to avoid the summer tourist crowds which can be overwhelming during peak season), Hotel Schwaiger is a lovely, and quiet, alternative. Finally, adjoining the restaurant is an absolutely lovely restaurant, V Zahrade. During the summer, service is provided primarily in a charming -and quiet - courtyard. Unlike many courtyard restaurants, this had the feel of a lovely country inn. Even on the hottest days, this restaurant was comfortable. And the food was absolutely yummy. The cuisine was described as “modern Czech.” In all honesty, I cannot articulate the difference between traditional and modern Czech cuisine. However, the food was not quite as heavy as other Czech food that we have sampled. We enjoyed the roast pork, beef cheeks (wonderful – incredibly tasty and tender) and grilled salmon. All first rate. We finished with a vanilla pudding dessert – a treat. One final note about the restaurant (and indeed the Hotel). The restaurant has a small play area in one corner of the large courtyard. One evening, we were joined at dinner by our two grandkids – aged 2 and 5. As anyone who has attempted to dine with kids of this age, there are challenges. At V Zahrade, the kids ran off to the play area (which is far from the restaurant exit, so it is a totally safe). The grandkids played happily with other children – despite the lack of a common language. We were able to eat at leisure and the kids had a fun time. And the other adults were spared the noise and other issues that kids can present in restaurants.

We stayed here for two nights as a part of our summer vacation around Europe. This was the best hotel we stayed at. Very comfortable beds, good working AC which really was needed as it was 38 degrees outside. Restaurant was excellent. No direct parking, but we found plenty of available spots on the surrounding streets.
