Not in the sand, which I prefer. The facilities are clean - showers, bathrooms. There are water faucets all around which is great. We tent camped and it was great. The campground is next to the beach. Short walk through trees and you are on the soft sand beaches. It gets cold at night even in the summer, but really awesome spot for families

Our site was huge. Couldn’t see the ocean from our site, had to walk over some dunes and through some trees, but lots of room and lots of grass. Got cold at night even during August. Will stay there again. Lots to do in Pismo and the surrounding area. Great beach.

Had a reservation, they put me in a different site then forced to move sites after 2 nights, where a loud group partied all night. Not able to get any sleep. 1 decent night. Next day they moved a HUGE GROUP of about 25 drug-addict HOMELESS who brought a GIGANTIC quantity of NASTY JUNK, a GROSS SPECTACLE of junk, barking dogs, old bikes and bike parts, dirty nasty junk right next to me (no bushes or trees or any border between us). I felt extremely unsafe and requested to be allowed to move sites. They keep a few empty for "emergencies" but REFUSED to let me have one of those sites. They in affect, FORCED ME TO PACK UP AND LEAVE MY VACATION. Putting that group & piles of dirty junk next to me was ABUSIVE. I am an older female, camping alone. I a 110% pissed and disgusted with the CA State Parks, Pismo Beach,North Beach Campround staff. They should all be fired. Thousands of people would give their right arm for such a nice location to work at. SHAME ON ALL OF YOU WORKING THERE ON SAT. JUNE 8 2019.

Great place to camp with dogs....can walk them on beach with leash! Also the monarch butterfly display was awesome.....lots of walking available to town etc etc. Also, enjoyed the farmers market in town with fresh fish and seafood available.
