Actually, it was beyond a spectacular experience. A tent with 2 super comfortable beds, luxe bedding and pillows, wood floors, a balcony/porch overlooking the woods with 2 rocking chairs. What?! Wait - there's more! Towels provided, showers and washrooms and hair dryers (including 2 full private bathrooms - first come, first serve basis), a swing, hammocks, fire pits (for s'mores). In the main tent - games, charging station for phones, a fantastic bar, great company, fabulous breakfasts. A super, serene setting in Ithaca close to Buttermilk Falls - WOW!!! It was beyond love! Don't forget to check out the farmer's market in Ithaca, Cornell University, kayaking and hiking and nearby wineries and distilleries. This was an unexpected, spectacular experience. Everyone needs to go! I'm already planning the next trip. Love, love, LOVE! And Puppers are welcome. Bonus!

Tent could’ve been cleaner- a wad of hair and Bobby pins on the floor- gross. They used to offer a Veterans discount, not this time around? We have frequented this place several times and have enjoyed past stays but it’s time to take a break.

Thank you, Renee, for the review and for returning to our campground. We take cleanliness very seriously and our housekeepers work hard to keep our tents clean. I sincerely apologize that you found them in a less than perfect state and we will continue to work hard to keep them clean. It’s our goal to constantly improve our guests’ experience, so if you ever have additional feedback, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@firelightcamps.com. Thank you, Bobby Frisch, Co-Founder.

Our stay at Firelight was wonderful! The staff is attentive and friendly. The tent and bathroom facilities are immaculate. We had a great time hiking as well as relaxing around the fire and on our private deck. Highly recommend if you are looking for something different.

My husband and I enjoy camping so we thought we would try mixing the camping and hotel experiences. We were not disappointed. The staff was awesome and the activities were fun to do on your own or with the other campers. We particularly enjoyed being able to hike in Buttermilk State Falls Park right from our site!

I truly enjoyed our stay at Firelight. It’s such a hidden gem in Ithaca. As students at Cornell, my friend and I loved the cute natural escape from school - it was a quick staycation escape from school but it was also convenient to get to (7 minutes away from campus). I would highly recommend any Cornell students to have their parents stay at Firelight because it’s so close to campus and it’s such an enjoyable experience. Staff are incredibly warm and inviting. Definitely try the liquid blanket drink (hot mulled cider with local whiskey or liquer) if you’re visiting during the fall. It gets quite cold in the winter so make sure to pack long johns. Their homemade s’mores kits are to die for. Their graham crackers are truly special with cinnamon seasoning (reminded me of a biscoff cookie) and unlike any s’mores I’ve ever tasted. I loved the instagrammable nature of the property. I visited in late October which was already quite cold. However the fire pit was always kept alive and it was so nice just sitting by the fire all night. They also had these really nice super fleece blankets that kept us warm, but I’d still suggest booking a heated tent for late fall. I definitely want to visit in May when the glamp ground reopens - it’ll be a whole new experience!
