Ember Restaurant in Arroyo Grande is all about serving authentic hand-crafted food cooked by wood fire in our open kitchen in the dining space. We aim to create the ideal environment to experience Central Coast food and wine, as well as craft cocktails from premium spirits. We hope to see you at the ember table soon...
First visit for date night. A lil pricey but worth it. The service was great, except the one staff who seemed to be tossing our plates at us. Wifey got a smoke signal craft cocktail with rosemary. Very nice. We shared the goat cheese salad....More
We arrived about 7:45 pm and was seated adjacent to the bar at a high table. The starters, the main courses and the drinks were all quite good. It was our first time to try this restaurant and we will give it a go again...More
They do not take reservations so if you have a large party, get there early. But, make sure all of your party arrives at once. We had a party of 8 but only 6 of us were there on time. We wanted to be seated...More

I recommend Ember to everyone I meet.

This is a major dining destination in San Luis Obispo County, particularly so for people who love our fine local wines. The food is top-notch with everything made from scratch daily, including their baked treats. Chef Brian Collins was a prime chef for Alice Waters...More
I eat at Ember about twice a year, but may try to go more now that I live nearby. I last went there a few nights ago for my husband's birthday. We got there before 5:00 and ate outside so as to have no wait....More

Hi, I wrote one of the reviews and my husband and I are regulars at the outstanding Ember. The only serve dinner Wednesday through Sunday (dark Monday and Tuesday) but they open at 4 p.m. and we like to get there early, by skipping lunch, so we get in before there's a long line of eager diners. The menu is seasonal and changes each month. You can read the menu menu on their webpage at emberwoodfire. Ember is in a class of its own, food quality is excellent and the prices are reasonable, that's why it's so popular among locals and visitors.
