Food is greasy, the wait is long, portions are small, and it’s expensive. We also saw the chef (the owner, I think) being mean to a take out customer.

My husband and I finally gave this restaurant a try last night, and wonder why it took us so long. On a cold night in Ithaca, it was wonderful to walk into this warm, cozy, friendly place. Service was excellent, food was truly fantastic (best...More

It was just as fun to share our meal in the Ethiopian dining tradition as it was to eat the food. We ordered the vegetarian combo ($42) for the 3 of us and still had plenty to take home. The food was delicious & we...More

Considering the lack of great restaurant options in Ithaca, this isn't a bad choice, but I have had better Ethiopian food in other cities. Also they needed more staff. The place was swamped and the waiters seemed quite overwhelmed.

We met family here and had a wonderful "family style" meal. The trays have bread (including a gluten-free option) that's the thickness and texture of a crepe under all the superbly seasoned meat and vegetables. This is a BYO restaurant. It's in the hub of...More

I ate here with friends, we shared a platter which was yummy, but service was on the slow side. I wanted to try the food as I’ve never had Ethiopian food before, and whilst it tasted good and was clearly very busy as there was...More

This is not the place to impress or make a connection. For those not familiar, this is kind of 'slop' food and you eat it with your fingers. Definitely not beautiful food to look at. But in all fairness, this is an Ethiopian experience and...More
